Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models for healthcare applications, focusing on predictive analytics, patient stratification, and outcome prediction.
- Preprocess, clean, and manage large healthcare datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the ML pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers and data scientists, to define and refine model objectives.
- Implement model evaluation and validation techniques to ensure accuracy, reliability, and clinical relevance of the models.
- Optimize models for scalability and performance in production environments, especially within cloud-based infrastructures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in machine learning and AI, particularly in healthcare, to incorporate the latest methodologies into our work.
- Ensure all ML development adheres to relevant regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA) to maintain patient privacy and data security..
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or data science, ideally with a focus on healthcare applications.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
- Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, feature engineering, and model optimization.
- Experience working with healthcare data, including EHRs, claims data, or imaging data, and familiarity with healthcare data standards.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and experience deploying models in cloud-based environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare AI, predictive modeling, or NLP applied to medical data.
